Short films that make people act

A promo has one job: get somebody to do the next thing. Book the demo, buy the ticket, click through. Everything else in the film is in service of that or it should not be there.

When a promo is the right tool

When you need attention for something specific and time-bound: a launch, an event, a campaign push. If the goal is ongoing awareness rather than a deadline, a brand film usually does more for the money.

What we do differently

We start with the action you want and work backwards. That decides the length, the hook, the cut-downs and where the call to action lands, before anyone books a camera.

Most promos fail because they were made to look good and the call to action was added at the end.

Promos we make most often

Launch films for a new product. Event promos that sell tickets or drive registrations. Brand promos that introduce a company to a market that does not know it. Campaign cut-downs for paid social, made from the same shoot.

What to ask before you hire anyone

No Script? No Problem.
Just Ask.

A short film built to prompt one action, usually thirty to ninety seconds. It is not a brand film and not an explainer. It exists to move somebody now.

It depends on shoot days, talent, locations and how many cut-downs you need. We price against the brief rather than a rate card. Full package pricing is published on our video production pricing page.

Under two minutes, and usually well under. Thirty to sixty seconds for social and paid placements, sixty to ninety when the product needs explaining first. Longer only when the viewer has already chosen to watch.

Technology, life science, consumer products, hospitality and nonprofit, mostly. The common thread is a deadline: a launch date, an event, a campaign window. That is what makes a promo the right format rather than a brand film.

Yes. Event promos work best shot at the previous year’s event, so there is real footage of a full room rather than an empty venue and a logo. If this is a first year, we build it from the venue, the speakers and the programme.
